# The bin

> Move a Space to the bin and restore it within 30 days. Databases used only in that Space go with it; its skills and automations are never deleted with it.

Moving a Space to the bin takes it, and everything inside it, out of everyone's Spaces. You have 30 days to bring it back.

## Move a Space to the bin

Open the Space's menu, choose **Move to bin** and confirm. The Space, its pages and its sub-Spaces leave everyone's Spaces, Editors included.

What happens to what it uses:

* **Databases used only in this Space** or its sub-Spaces go to the bin with it, records included.
* **Databases also used in another Space** stay there and keep working. While this Space is in the bin, their records open in that other Space.
* **Skills** stay where they are. The Space keeps its list of what it uses, so a restore brings everything back exactly.
* **Automations** created in this Space that no other Space uses pause until it is restored. The others keep running.

## Restore a Space

Open the **Bin** from the Spaces page. Each entry shows the day it will be removed for good. Click **Restore** and the Space is back for everyone who had access, with its pages, sub-Spaces and Editors.

Its databases come back with it and its paused automations start again. Records of a database it shares with another Space open in it again, unless someone has since set them to open somewhere else.

If its parent Space is also in the bin, the restored Space comes back at the top level of your Spaces.

## After 30 days

The Space is deleted for good. To skip the wait, open the Bin and click **Delete now**. This cannot be undone.

Deleting for good removes the Space, its pages and the Spaces inside it, along with the databases used only in these Spaces and all their records, whoever added them.

Other Spaces keep what they use: a database also used in another Space stays there. Skills and automations are kept too: each stays with another Space that uses it, or goes to the library of the person who moved the Space to the bin.

If another Space still uses a record from this Space's databases, **Delete now** names that Space and stops. Move that Space first, or delete it from the bin first if it is in the bin too.
