# Space Store

> Install a Space someone published as your own copy, with its sub-Spaces, databases, skills and automations. Update it later and keep your own changes.

The Space Store is where you find Spaces published by your team or by anyone, and install them in one click. You can publish your own Spaces there too.

Installing gives you your own copy. It is not a shared Space: the publisher (the person who published it) cannot see your records, and nothing you change reaches the publisher or anyone else's copy.

## Find a Space

Open the **Spaces** page. Below your Spaces, the **Space Store** shows:

* **Spaces you can install**, published for **Your team** or for **Everyone**. A Space you already installed is marked **Installed**.
* **Your installed Spaces** that have a new version or a choice waiting for you.
* **Your listings**: the Spaces you published.

## Install a Space

Click **Install**. Your copy appears in your Spaces with everything it needs:

* **The Space and its sub-Spaces**, with all their pages.
* **The databases it uses**, ready for your own records. The publisher's records stay with the publisher. Some publishers add a few example records so you can see how it works.
* **The skills and automations it uses.** Automations arrive paused: turn on the ones you want.

Your copy runs on your own connected accounts. Nothing the publisher connected or signed in to comes along, so connect the services a page or automation needs before you rely on it.

A sub-Space can have its own listing. Installing it gives you that sub-Space and what it needs, as a separate copy.

## Update an installed Space

When the publisher releases a new version, your copy appears in the Space Store with a line such as **Version 3 is available**. Nothing changes until you update.

1. Click **Review update** to see what will happen: the parts the publisher updated or added, the parts kept as they are, and any part you both changed.
2. Click **Update**.

What stays yours:

* **Your records** never change. New example records from the publisher are added next to them.
* **Your own changes** stay. Only the parts the publisher changed and you did not are updated.
* **Your automations** stay on or paused the way you left them. An automation the publisher changed gets its new instructions and schedule. New ones arrive paused.
* **Anything the publisher removed** stays in your copy.

### When you both changed the same part

If you and the publisher changed the same page, database, skill or automation, the update keeps your version and asks you to choose. For each part, pick **Keep mine** or **Take theirs**, then click **Apply choices**. You can also choose later: the Space Store shows how many changes are left to settle, and your version keeps working until you decide.

## What a Store Space can and cannot change

An update can:

* Bring the publisher's new version of the pages, sub-Spaces, databases (their fields, never your records), skills and automations you did not change.
* Add new pages, databases, skills, automations and example records.

A Store Space never:

* Gives the publisher access to your copy or your records.
* Changes your copy before you click **Update**.
* Replaces a part you changed without asking you.
* Uses the publisher's connected accounts or saved sign-ins.
* Turns an automation on by itself.
* Stops working when the publisher unpublishes it.

## Publish your own Space

1. In the Space's menu, choose **Publish to Store**.
2. Choose who can install it: **Your team** can install it right away, and **Everyone** can install it once it has been reviewed. If you are not in a team, you publish for **Everyone**.
3. Give it a name and a tagline, then click **Preview**. Notis shows how many Spaces, databases, skills and automations it includes and, for a new version, what changed since the last one.
4. Click **Publish** for your team, or **Submit for review** for everyone.

Only the structure travels: your records, connected accounts and saved sign-ins stay private. A published Space includes its sub-Spaces, and a sub-Space can be published on its own.

To release a new version, publish the same Space again. People who installed it see the new version and choose when to update.

To stop new installs, click **Unpublish** next to it under **Your listings**. Copies people already installed keep working.

## Installed or shared?

| You want to | Do this |
| - | - |
| Work in the same Space, with the same records, as someone else | [Share the Space](/spaces/share-a-space): you both see the same pages and data. |
| Give people their own copy | Publish it to the Space Store: each person gets an independent copy. |
