Discover how to get started with Notis on WhatsApp and the particularities of the platform.
Connect WhatsApp
Notis integrates seamlessly with WhatsApp, allowing you to interact with your Notion workspace through this popular messaging platform. This integration enables you to access, create, and manage your Notion content directly from WhatsApp.
How to Connect
- Head over to notis.ai and click on “Start for free”.
- Select “WhatsApp”, enter your phone number and click “Signup”
- Either scan the QR code or click the button “Continue now on WhatsApp” to open the WhatsApp conversation with Notis and follow the instructions in our quickstart guide.
You don’t need to create an account with Notis. Your Notis account is attached to the phone number that has been verified by WhatsApp so you don’t need to remember one more password.

Limitations
While WhatsApp integration offers powerful functionality, there are some limitations to be aware of:
Character Limits
WhatsApp imposes a 2600-character maximum for text messages via the Twilio API. Longer messages are automatically converted to voice messages.
When messages auto-transform to text-to-speech, URLs are set aside and sent separately as text to ensure they remain accessible and clickable.
Simply ask Notis for brief response if you want to ensure receiving a text response instead a voice message
Formatting Restrictions
WhatsApp has limited support for rich text formatting. Complex markdown elements like tables cannot be rendered properly in WhatsApp messages.
Other Limitations
- Locations, contacts, poll and events are not supported.
- Group discussions are not supported.
