Note Taking
Dump ideas by voice notes and Notis turns them into formatted and organized notes in Notion. Challenge your thinking with devil's advocate mode.
Quick start: speak these
Send a voice note with your ideas.
Can you organize this into a coherent summary?
Can you challenge this idea? Please play devil's advocate.
Share a photo or a document and ask Notis to save it along with your notes
Notis captures your stream of consciousness and turns it into structured, organized notes.
Note taking workflow
1. Capture your thoughts
Send a voice note with your ideas — no structure needed:
I've been thinking about the future of AI in education... personalized learning paths... teachers as facilitators rather than lecturers...
Notis transcribes and understands the context.
2. Organize into coherent notes
Ask Notis to structure your thoughts:
Can you organize this into a coherent summary?
Turn this into a structured document.
Save this to my notes database.
Notis will:
- Extract key themes
- Create logical structure
- Save to your Notion database with a link
3. Challenge your thinking
Use devil's advocate mode for deeper analysis:
Can you challenge this idea? Please play devil's advocate.
What are the counterarguments to this?
Poke holes in my reasoning.
Notis compiles a document that challenges your assumptions and presents alternative viewpoints.
4. Organize
Simply tell Notis how to organize your note:
Associate this with my work area.
Associate this with new help center project.
Set up your Notes database in Notion
The Notis Second Brain already contains a Notes database set up for you.
You can easily make a Notes database or customize the one that comes with the template. Just make sure it has a title property and Notis will understand it should be used for note taking.
If you want Notis to save your original transcript, include a media property and add a description to the property like “Add here the audio and txt transcript whenever available.”

- Key insights worth keeping top of mind
- Decisions and commitments
- Open loops (questions, follow-ups, revisit later)

# Output format (follow exactly)
### 1) TL;DR (60 seconds)
- 5 bullets max.
- Each bullet must be specific and easy to remember.
### 2) This week’s patterns
List 3–7 patterns. For each pattern, include:

- Evidence: reference the specific notes behind it (titles + links)
### 3) Key insights worth keeping top of mind
- 5–10 bullets.
- Each bullet must include why it matters.
### 4) Decisions and commitments I made
- Decision or commitment
- Date (if known)
- Note reference (title + link)
### 5) Open loops
- Questions I left unanswered
- Follow-ups I promised

Each item must include the related note link.
### 6) Next week’s focus (suggested)

- No fluff. No generic advice.
- Prefer short bullets and short paragraphs.
