Use the Tasks and Notes databases of your Notion Second Brain as the trusted system behind your brain dumps, so everything you say out loud ends up somewhere you can review it.

What this setup does

Notis reads and writes your Notion databases. When you finish a brain dump, Notis can:
  • Create one task per loose task in your Notion Tasks database
  • Save ideas, open loops, and notes to self as pages in your Notion Notes database
  • Give you one place to run your weekly reset

Step 1: Set up your Second Brain

The Notis Second Brain already contains a Tasks database and a Notes database set up for you. If you haven’t installed the template yet, start with Connect Notion.

Step 2: Run your brain dump

  1. Open Notis
  2. Say: “Hey Notis, start a brain dump”
  3. Speak freely for 60–120 seconds. Don’t self-edit.
  4. End with: “Done. Create all the tasks and notes in Notion.”
Notis files the tasks in your Tasks database and the rest in your Notes database.

Step 3: Weekly reset in Notion

Open your Notes database once a week and:
  • Review this week’s dumps and star the most valuable insights
  • Merge duplicates, archive stale items
  • Promote 1–3 ideas into small experiments for next week
  • Check that every open loop has a next step in your Tasks database or is explicitly parked
