Create a Space
- In your sidebar, hover Spaces and click + (New Space).
- Type a name and press Enter. The new Space opens. Press Escape, or leave the name empty, to cancel.
“Create a Space for the Acme launch, with a page for its tasks.”
Ask Notis to build it
An empty Space shows Ask Notis to fill this Space with a few ideas: Task board, Contacts from my emails, Weekly meeting recap and Project plan. Click one and a new chat opens with the request already written. Change it if you like, then send it. Or describe what you want in your own words:“Add a page to my Hiring Space that lists candidates by stage, with a card for each one.”
“Build a dashboard in my Sales Space with this month’s deals and a chart per stage.”Then keep refining in the same chat:
“Add a priority field to the tasks.”
“Show the projects as a table instead of cards.”Notis builds the pages on your Cloud Computer, which every paid plan includes, and sends you a link to the page once the change is live. Until then, the current version of your Space keeps working. Editing a record, a note or an automation doesn’t need a rebuild: those changes save right away.
Try a change before it goes live
Not sure yet? Ask for a draft first, for example “Just show me a draft.” You get a link to a Preview of the page:- Look around and try it. Buttons really work in a preview: Actions affect your data.
- Click Publish to make it the live version, or Discard preview to drop it.
Make a copy
Ask Notis to duplicate a Space you can edit:“Make a copy of my Client onboarding Space.”
- The copy is a new Space of your own, with its sub-Spaces, pages, databases, skills and automations. Its automations start paused, so nothing runs twice.
- Records come along unless you ask for the structure only.
- The people the original is shared with don’t come along: the copy stays yours until you share it.
- It’s named after the original with “copy” at the end, unless you give it a name. Notis can also place it inside another Space.
Build it with your own coding agent
Prefer Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another coding agent? Connect it to Notis with the Notis CLI, then ask it to build or change a Space, in the same words you’d use with Notis. This works on every plan, Free included.- Your Space keeps working while your agent prepares the change. The new version goes live once its checks pass.
- Changes another Editor made in the meantime are kept, not overwritten.
- Want to look first? Ask for a preview: your agent gives you the link, and you choose Publish or Discard preview.
- To go back to an earlier design, ask your agent. It brings it back as a new version. Your records, and anything the Space already did, stay as they are.
- If an update doesn’t finish, your agent checks what is live before trying again. You don’t need to start a new Space.
- Publishing to the Space Store is a separate step: your agent waits for your yes.
Good to know
- Onboarding: some Spaces come with their own setup guide. Their … menu then shows Onboarding, which opens a new chat with a request such as “Help me set up Notes.” ready for you to send.
- Your Cloud Computer: a Space that wants to use your Cloud Computer asks first, with Allow this Space to use your cloud computer? Choose Allow or Not now. It only ever uses your own Cloud Computer, as you, while you have the Space open, and it asks again whenever the Space’s code changes.
- Old Notis App links open the Space that replaced the App.
