Who can use it

Anyone can ask Notis to look for a tool: it will find the right one and tell you what using it would cost. Using a specialist tool is included with ULTRA. On any other plan Notis explains which tool it found and offers to upgrade you.

What it costs

Each tool has its own price, and most are cents rather than dollars: reading a web page is about $0.004, a web search about $0.012, looking up a contact a fraction of a cent. Creating audio or video costs more — reading a long article aloud is a little over $1, and the most expensive thing in the catalogue is a twelve-second generated video at $4.32. Every price is shown on the tool’s own page, and Notis will not spend more than about $1.20 on a single use: if a tool costs more than that, it tells you the price instead of using it. Uses are drawn from the usage allowance already included in your plan — the same pool that covers everything else Notis does. There is no separate bill, no credit pack to buy, and no subscription in your name.

Notis prefers the apps you have already connected. If you have connected Gmail, it reads your mail with Gmail rather than paying for a tool to do it. Where they work

Ask for them in any Notis conversation — the app, or any of your connected messaging channels. They are not available in voice conversations, because a single use can take up to two minutes and you would be left waiting. They are also not available when you use Notis from a coding tool on your computer, or inside a Notis app: searching the catalogue works in both, but the tool itself has to be used from a conversation.
